{"id":788047,"date":"2026-07-27T21:43:08","date_gmt":"2026-07-27T21:43:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/788047\/"},"modified":"2026-07-27T21:43:08","modified_gmt":"2026-07-27T21:43:08","slug":"josh-jacobs-investigation-remains-open","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/788047\/","title":{"rendered":"Josh Jacobs investigation remains open"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcsports.com\/nfl\/profootballtalk\/rumor-mill\/news\/josh-jacobs-faces-five-charges-after-domestic-disturbance-call\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">May 2026 arrest<\/a> of Packers running back Josh Jacobs following a domestic disturbance resulted in <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcsports.com\/nfl\/profootballtalk\/rumor-mill\/news\/district-attorney-in-josh-jacobs-case-is-not-yet-prepared-to-make-a-formal-charging-decision\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">no charges being filed<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The case nevertheless remains open.<\/p>\n<p>Via Matt Schneidman of The Athletic, the Brown County District Attorney\u2019s Office said via email on July 23 that the investigation is \u201c<a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/7469865\/2026\/07\/27\/micah-parsons-packers-2026-training-camp\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">still open<\/a>\u201d and that \u201cthere will be an update provided once a resolution is reached.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Jacobs remains available to practice and to play. The possibility of paid leave would arise if he\u2019s formally charged with one or more crimes relating to domestic violence, or if the league determines based on its own investigation that paid leave is required.<\/p>\n<p>For now, it appears that there will be no information until a final decision is made as to whether he\u2019ll be charged. Even if he isn\u2019t charged, Jacobs could be subject to discipline under the Personal Conduct Policy.<\/p>\n<p>Jacobs, 28, is entering his third season with the Packers.
