\n\t\u201cI think it\u2019s not going to be what exactly people are expecting as well. When you\u2019re re-imagining something, it\u2019s not a remake. It\u2019s not a reboot. It\u2019s a re-imagination, and I\u2019m really excited about it because I really care about this movie and its title.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tToday, the world got to see what he was talking about, as the first trailer for the actor\u2019s sophomore outing as a director dropped. Jordan also produces and stars in the role that Steve McQueen made famous. <\/p>\n

\n\tThe film centers on a debonair art thief (Jordan) who gos toe to toe with an insurance investigator smart enough to catch him (Adria Arjona).<\/p>\n

\n\tThe 1968 movie focused on a rich playboy who steals art. It co-starred Faye Dunaway, who played the insurance investigator who is every bit his match in a sultry game of chess.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn the 1999 Pierce Brosnan version, the protag meets his match in a detective played by Rene Russo.<\/p>\n

\n\tPlot details on Jordan\u2019s version are under wraps but in footage unveiled at CinemaCon<\/a> earlier this year centered on a cat and mouse between the two leads as they fall for each other against a backdrop of august museums, slick cities and European castles. Jordan is up and down wires, sailing through the sky. He said he wanted to put his own spin on this version \u2014 \u201cthe style, the rebellion, but giving him a real mission. So I needed somebody who could keep him on his toes. An actress who can portray strength and vulnerability. She understands his game but falls in love with him.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHis mission in the film is personal. \u201cRevenge is a work of art,\u201d is one catchphrase. Kenneth Branagh is the target. <\/p>\n

\n\tThe McQueen-Dunaway film took home the Best Music, Original Score for a Motion Picture Oscar for the song \u201cWindmills of Your Mind.\u201d This time around, Oscar, BAFTA, Golden Globe and eight-time Grammy winner\u00a0Jon Batiste<\/a>\u00a0is composing the score<\/a>.<\/p>\n
