Payton said he is \u201cproud\u201d of the work that Cooper has done since the arrest and that the team will \u201csee where it goes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/DenSports1043\/status\/2082547196193624282\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">staying the course<\/a> with league protocol, we\u2019re staying the course with club protocol, relative to what we\u2019re advised to do,\u201d Payton said, via Denver Sports 104.3. \u201cHe\u2019s been fantastic working away from the building, and we\u2019ll continue to do that, and monitor it. We\u2019re supportive, and very much aware of the seriousness of these types of things.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Cooper faces an August 31 arraignment on multiple charges, including second-degree count assault by strangulation.
