Time is running out, at least if they want to avoid unnecessarily spending 20 million euro more. That\u2019s because Guerra\u2019s release clause will rise from 40 million to 60 million on August 1st, giving Bar\u00e7a just a few days to make up their minds.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1upudxki _174s0un1 _174s0un0 _1mt21p01\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cope.es\/emisoras\/comunidad-valenciana\/valencia-provincia\/valencia\/deportes-cope-valencia\/noticias\/sabado-sube-clausula-javi-guerra-20260729_3412200.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">According to Spanish radio<\/a>, Barcelona have spoken with the Valencia midfielder\u2019s agents and Hansi Flick is a fan of him. Despite this, the Catalans have not taken any subsequent steps to try to sign him. Frenkie de Jong\u2019s injury has also made signing a midfielder more of a priority. Still, Bar\u00e7a are working on several fronts, where deals are expected eventually rather than imminently. That complicates this signing if it has such a sudden deadline.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1upudxki _174s0un1 _174s0un0 _1mt21p01\">Guerra also has interest from afar, particularly in Italy and England. The 23-year-old also debuted with Spain, who were recently crowned world champions. That\u2019s made him become even more in demand.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1upudxki _174s0un1 _174s0un0 _1mt21p01\">A central midfielder by nature, Guerra can play as a holder and interestingly, has been deployed as a #10 in pre-season for Los Che. He is considered a jack of all trades, as scouts have highlighted his short passing, tackling, through balls, and shooting.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1upudxki _174s0un1 _174s0un0 _1mt21p01\">For his part, Guerra has not openly shown a desire to leave. In fact, speaking in May, he publicly declared: \u201cI have a contract.
