Jimmy Fallon was determined to get to the bottom of Sadie Sink\u2019s secret \u201cSpider-Man: Brand New Day<\/a>\u201d character Wednesday evening, asking the actress point-blank if she was playing \u201cX-Men\u2019s\u201d Jean Grey<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cNothing is officially known about your\u00a0role in the film,\u201d Fallon said to Sink during her Wednesday appearance on \u201cThe Tonight Show.\u201d \u201cBut the internet has\u00a0\u00a0 theories and I have a few of them here. And I\u00a0thought it\u2019d be kind of fun if I read some of the possibilities, and then you could react however\u00a0you would react.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Sink looked a bit skeptical, she agreed to the bit, prompting Fallon to ask his first question: \u201cSadie Sink, you are in the film \u2018Spider-Man:\u00a0Brand New Day?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cCorrect,\u201d Sink said with a nod.<\/p>\n

However, she was less forthcoming when asked if she was \u201cthe film\u2019s main villain,\u201d noting, \u201cWe\u2019ll have to wait and see.\u201d She gave a similar answer when asked if she was set to play Peter Parker (Tom Holland<\/a>)\u2019s other famous love interest Gwen Stacy, coyly commenting, \u201cI guess we\u2019ll\u00a0find out.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYou play Mayday Parker, the daughter of Peter and MJ, who eventually\u00a0becomes Spider Girl,\u201d Fallon further asked. This theory appeared to get Sink, who laughed and offered up, \u201cI don\u2019t know.\u201d<\/p>\n

When asked if she was playing Punisher (Jon Bernthal)\u2019s sidekick Rachel Cole or Spider-Man\u2019s first superhero love interest Firestar, Sink responded with, \u201cWe\u2019ll find out in theaters\u201d and \u201cWho knows?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is the most popular internet theory,\u201d Fallon said as the bit came to an end. \u201cYou play Jean Grey, who will bring a new era of X-Men mutants into the MCU.\u201d<\/p>\n

Keeping her composure, Sink simply noted, \u201cWouldn\u2019t\u00a0you like to know.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Elsewhere in the interview, Sink admitted it has been \u201cfreeing\u201d not being able to talk about her character, explaining, \u201cI get a little nervous for interviews sometimes. And so, if I don\u2019t have to talk about anything, it relaxes me.\u00a0I\u2019m like, I don\u2019t have anything to\u00a0say.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sink\u2019s appearance on the \u201cTonight Show\u201d came two days after the Los Angeles red carpet premiere<\/a> for \u201cSpider-Man: Brand New Day,\u201d where singer Steve Lacy, whose song \u201coh yeah?\u201d is featured in the fourth Tom Holland-led \u201cSpider-Man\u201d film, seemingly spoiled her character.<\/p>\n
