Vrabel said Hopkins, who previously played for Vrabel in Tennessee, was a good presence during his brief time in New England.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was a great experience,\u201d Vrabel said. \u201cHop\u2019s not here, but it was a great experience for all of us. That\u2019s what we try to do when we have some of these unique situations where a player or former player or whatever it might be wants to come in and help and learn and they love football, and I think it was good for everybody.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The 34-year-old Hopkins has said he <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcsports.com\/nfl\/profootballtalk\/rumor-mill\/news\/deandre-hopkins-i-have-a-lot-left-but-in-no-rush-to-be-a-regular-season-superstar\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">has a lot of football left<\/a> and hopes to sign with a contender at some point this season.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Free agent wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins\u2019 stint working with the Patriots was a short one.
