Boone Jenner<\/a> did not waste any time getting into his new Washington Capitals<\/a> gear.<\/p>\n

Jenner was caught rocking his new Caps jersey, pants, Warrior gloves, and helmet while taking part in workouts at London Sports Park in London, Ontario, this week.<\/p>\n

Jenner was joined on the ice by prospects Johnny McLaughlin (OHL, Windsor Spitfires), Josh Brown (Edmonton Oilers<\/a> prospect), and Jacob Julien<\/a> (Winnipeg Jets<\/a> prospect). Both Brown and Julien are on NHL entry-level contracts while McLaughlin is going into his second year with the Spitfires. <\/p>\n

The skates were led by Kathy McLlwain, a professional skating coach who is the owner of Power Blades Skating Development<\/a>. McLlwain has also notably worked with New York Islanders<\/a> forward Bo Horvat<\/a> in the past<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In reels posted to Instagram, Jenner can be seen doing a drill working on his edges and stick-handling while rocking a red Capitals practice sweater.<\/p>\n

He also did a drill working on his lateral skating and stops at the blue line.<\/p>\n

Jenner signed a four-year, $23 million contract with the Capitals<\/a> on the first day of free agency that will pay the former Columbus Blue Jackets<\/a> captain an average of $5.75 million annually.<\/p>\n

Jenner projects to play center or on the wing of the fourth line next season and will be part of a new look Capitals team that also now includes Alex Tuch<\/a>, Jordan Kyrou<\/a>, and Vincent Descharnais during the offseason.<\/p>\n

And for his part, Jenner appears very eager to get started his Caps era started.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve enjoyed my time in Columbus, and I can\u2019t thank that city enough for what they\u2019ve done for me,\u201d Jenner said earlier in the month<\/a>. \u201cBut for me, it\u2019s the next chapter, and that\u2019s where my excitement is now. And that\u2019s with the Washington Capitals.\u201d<\/p>\n
