\n\tZo\u00eb Kravitz almost got a bad reputation as Taylor Swift<\/a>\u2018s house guest. During an appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers<\/a>, the actress described staying in Swift\u2019s home with her mom Lisa Bonet after evacuating during the Los Angeles wildfires<\/a> in January. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cShe was kind enough to let me stay at her house,\u201d Kravitz said. \u201cMy mom lives in Topanga Canyon, so I said, \u2018No, that\u2019s a dangerous place to be. Come [here].\u2019 And my mom has a pet snake, and so she has her evacuation stuff; she came over with the snake. We ended up having to stay there for maybe about two weeks, and Taylor has this very beautiful house. I think it\u2019s from the \u201930s, like it\u2019s a beautiful house, something you want to preserve and take care of.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tTheir stay was enjoyable until Kravitz\u2019s last day. \u201cI was gonna leave. My mom was actually gonna stay longer. I had to leave for work,\u201d she recounted to host Seth Meyers. \u201cI was kind of packing up my things, and I was saying to my mom, \u2018I really wanna be a good house guest. I like to leave places better than I found them. I don\u2019t want her to even know we were here.\u2019 So I was kind of going around and cleaning up, and I\u2019m downstairs and she\u2019s upstairs and my phone rings and it\u2019s my mom. I answered the phone and she goes, \u2018Hi!\u2019 And I\u2019m like, \u2018Your voice is super high.\u2019 And she\u2019s like, \u2018I\u2019m in a little bit of a pickle. Can you come upstairs?\u2019\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tOnce Kravitz got to the upstairs bathroom, she learned her mom\u2019s pet snake, named Orpheus, \u201cfound this little hole in the corner.\u201d Meyers quipped, \u201cBut that\u2019s a design flaw. That\u2019s on Taylor. You can\u2019t have a snake hole in your house.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThings got dicey very quickly. \u201cSo the hole is next to a banquette that is built into the wall that has two drawers at the bottom,\u201d Kravitz said. \u201cMy mom, by the way, she\u2019s holding the snake\u2019s tail\u2026 They\u2019re all muscle, they\u2019re very, very strong, so she\u2019s holding the snake\u2019s tail. We don\u2019t know what to do.\u201d She said she \u201cstarted to panic\u201d because \u201cthe snake is getting further and further\u201d into the hole.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIt\u2019s like that scene in\u00a0Jurassic Park\u00a0when they\u2019re in the car and the branches breaking every time they move,\u201d Kravitz explained. \u201cI was panicking so much that my mom likes to say, \u2018If I had both hands, I would have slapped you.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe mother and daughter called in help from Kravitz\u2019s assistant, who also didn\u2019t know what to do, and the manager of the house, who was not thrilled. \u201cHe gets a crowbar and starts having to tear apart this banquette,\u201d Kravitz recalled. \u201cWe\u2019re ripping up the tile. We\u2019re scratching the walls. We completely destroyed Taylor\u2019s bathroom, and there was just this moment where I was like, either we destroy her bathroom or I have to tell her that there\u2019s a snake somewhere in her house.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tShe added, \u201cSo we destroyed the bathroom and I said to her house manager, \u2018Obviously I\u2019m gonna pay for everything to be fixed. Please just don\u2019t say anything until it\u2019s fixed, so I could just say everything\u2019s fine.\u2019 And I remember calling her and saying, \u2018Hey \u2014 also very high voice \u2014 I wanted to talk to you about something,\u2019 and she was like, \u2018Is it the fact that you almost lost a stake in our house and destroyed my bathroom?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Zo\u00eb Kravitz almost got a bad reputation as Taylor Swift\u2018s house guest.
