\n\tDavid Jenkins<\/a> has some bad news for DC fans waiting for development news on the Booster Gold<\/a> series.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe creator of Our Flag Means Death\u00a0has confirmed that his version of the HBO<\/a> series he had been developing is not happening.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cMy Booster Gold won\u2019t be moving forward,\u201d Jenkins posted on Threads<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tIt was a year ago at Comic-Con that Deadline reported that Jenkins was attached to write the pilot<\/a>, and that the plan was for him to show-run the series as well.<\/p>\n

\n\tBooster Gold was created by Dan Jurgens, with the comic centered on Michael Jon \u201cBooster\u201d Carter, a member of the Justice League born in Gotham City who attends university on a football scholarship. He is expelled for gambling and becomes a superhero, although he continues to irritate others with his obsession with fame and wealth. His nickname came via Ronald Reagan after he saved the former POTUS.<\/p>\n

\n\tJenkins\u2019s comments about Booster Gold came after Mahershala Ali called out Marvel over the Blade reboot not materializing<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cFor whatever reason, that project is not for me. If they wanted to do it, we would\u2019ve done it. So I have to move on, and I have moved on,\u201d Ali told GQ. \u201cAgain, you had me under contract, they have billions of dollars, if they wanted to do the movie, we would\u2019ve done the movie. So we\u2019re not doing the movie.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAli continued, \u201cI feel ready to move on from the Blade questions. Those questions are for them. They didn\u2019t want to do it, so they should answer that question.\u201d<\/p>\n
