{"id":797087,"date":"2026-08-01T08:44:24","date_gmt":"2026-08-01T08:44:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/797087\/"},"modified":"2026-08-01T08:44:24","modified_gmt":"2026-08-01T08:44:24","slug":"charley-hull-reveals-how-she-plans-to-win-her-very-first-major-at-the-womens-open-this-weekend","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/797087\/","title":{"rendered":"Charley Hull reveals how she plans to win her very first major at the Women&#8217;s Open this weekend"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>   <a class=\"fw\" href=\"https:\/\/profile.google.com\/cp\/Cg0vZy8xMWcxajNfc2h3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\"> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"28\" height=\"28\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hitc.com\/wp-content\/themes\/grv-media\/img\/google-discover.svg\" alt=\"\"\/> Follow us on Google Discover <\/a>  <\/p>\n<p>Charley Hull is very well-placed after two rounds of the AIG Women\u2019s Open at Royal Lytham &amp; St Annes Golf Club.<\/p>\n<p>Hull followed her opening-round 69 with an even-par 71 on Friday at the Women\u2019s Open.<\/p>\n<p>The 30-year-old Englishwoman is still waiting for her breakthrough at the major championships.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hitc.com\/topic\/charley-hull\/\" data-type=\"post_tag\" data-id=\"99147\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Charley Hull<\/a> has five runner-up major finishes to her name, including last year\u2019s Women\u2019s Open and this year\u2019s Women\u2019s US Open.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" loading=\"lazy\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/GettyImages-2287283952-1024x682.jpg\" alt=\"Charley Hull in action during the first round of the ISPS HANDA Women's Scottish Open at Dundonald Links\" class=\"wp-image-2597493\" \/>Photo by Tom Dulat\/Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>And whatever happens between now and the end of day two, she will have a good chance to win her very first major at the AIG Women\u2019s Open over the weekend.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this week, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hitc.com\/charley-hull-makes-honest-admission-about-royal-lytham-ahead-of-the-womens-open-im-not-going-to-lie\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Hull actually admitted that Royal Lytham does not suit her eye<\/a>, but you wouldn\u2019t be able to tell after watching her through two rounds this week.<\/p>\n<p>How Charley Hull plans to win her first major at the Women\u2019s Open<\/p>\n<p>Hull spoke to reporters after her second round on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>The Englishwoman responded when asked how she plans to attack the weekend at Royal Lytham &amp; St Annes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m just going to go at everything,\u201c Hull said.<\/p>\n<p>MORE CHARLEY HULL STORIES<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI hit it okay today. I got a couple of weird breaks, like on 16, I knifed my shot into the green. So, I was in a divot and it was just so firm.
