Remember
\nhow a shady Southern California water agency, the Elsinore
\nValley Municipal Water District, announced that it wanted to take
\nover the Potter Valley Project on the Eel River, seemingly to thwart
\ndam removal? We have some good news. Earlier
\nthis month, the Federal Energy Regulator Commission
\n(FERC) denied the Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District\u2019s petition
\nto \u201cintervene\u201d in their proceedings. This means that the
\nWater District would lack \u201cstanding\u201d to sue over the final
\ndetermination by FERC. <\/p>\n

While welcome news, that doesn\u2019t mean
\nthat Elsinore is out of tricks it can play. Alicia Hamann, Executive
\nDirector of Friends of the Eel River, joins the program to give the
\nlatest news on Eel River dam removal.<\/p>\n
