{"id":798398,"date":"2026-08-02T01:18:33","date_gmt":"2026-08-02T01:18:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/798398\/"},"modified":"2026-08-02T01:18:33","modified_gmt":"2026-08-02T01:18:33","slug":"rocket-classic-2026-final-round-groupings-how-to-watch","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/798398\/","title":{"rendered":"Rocket Classic 2026: Final round groupings, how to watch"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A $10 million purse is at stake Sunday in the Motor City as the PGA Tour\u2019s penultimate regular season event will see its final 18 holes played \u2014- but not without a little unforeseen drama from Mother Nature.<\/p>\n<p>Storms overnight and into Sunday morning have<a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/PGATOURComms\/status\/2083631617327739049?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\"> forced the Tour\u2019s hand<\/a>, bumping final round tee times \u2014 and having players go off in groupings. <\/p>\n<p><a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.golfchannel.com\/watch\/live\/rocket-classic-final-rd\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Live final-round action <\/a>runs 1 to 3 p.m. on Golf Channel and <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.golfchannel.com\/news\/how-to-watch-live-coverage-on-the-golf-channel-app\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Golf Channel mobile<\/a>, with CBS taking over the late afternoon broadcast. <\/p>\n<p>Davis Riley is the leader at 15 under, a shot ahead of Michael Brennan entering Sunday\u2019s final round. They will play the last 18 with <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.golfchannel.com\/pga-tour\/news\/nicolai-h%C3%B8jgaard-61-third-pga-tour-player-to-tie-detroit-course-record-in-as-many-days\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Rasmus Hojgaard\u2019s who shot a 61 on Moving Day.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>For the third day in a row the mark for single-lowest round in course history was tied as Hojgaard followed Cameron Young and <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.golfchannel.com\/pga-tour\/news\/peter-malnati-career-low-61-rocket-classic-mindset-struggle\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Peter Malnati with a 9-under 61<\/a>. All three rounds were bogey-free, with Young going for six straight birdies on Friday. Brennan was actually the one who <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.golfchannel.com\/pga-tour\/news\/michael-brennan-just-did-something-no-other-pga-tour-player-has-all-year\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">carded eight consecutive circles a day prior,<\/a> one off the Tour record. <\/p>\n<p>Young, the tournament favorite and <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.golfchannel.com\/randa\/news\/cameron-young-open-championship-runner-up-royal-birkdale\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">2026 Open Championship runner-up<\/a>, is T-3 going into tomorrow.
