He\u2019s also no stranger to making headlines with his toes \u2014 or lack thereof.<\/p>\n<p>Sanders had to <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/03\/08\/jackson-states-deion-sanders-had-two-toes-amputated\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">get two toes on his left foot amputated<\/a> in 2021, which was the result of blood clots that were the result of a previous surgery. That wasn\u2019t the end of the Colorado head coach\u2019s health worries, as he had to undergo a <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/10\/07\/sports\/deion-sanders-undergoing-four-hour-procedure-for-blood-clots\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">surgery last year to address blood clots in his leg<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img style=\"aspect-ratio:1.49926794;display:block\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-modal-image=\"40156025\" width=\"885\" height=\"590\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/215022186_Sanders-Toes-Amputated-Football.jpg\" alt=\"Deion Sanders on a knee scooter on the sidelines of a Jackson State football game.\" class=\"wp-image-40156025\"  \/>Deion Sanders has had several surgeries in the last decade.  AP<\/p>\n<p>The 58-year-old also <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/06\/29\/sports\/deion-sanders-declares-himself-cancer-free-a-year-after-bladder-removal\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">underwent surgery to remove his cancerous bladder <\/a>earlier this year. <\/p>\n<p>Sanders has recovered well enough from these procedures to spend the college football offseason with his <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/07\/30\/sports\/deion-sanders-meets-with-new-browns-coach-todd-monken-watches-shedeur-at-camp\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">NFL quarterback son, Shedeur, at the Browns\u2019 training camp<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>And a post Deion made to his Instagram on Saturday is sure to turn heads. I got some new toes coming, though,\u201d Deion responded. Shedeur then asked whether he had them on, to which Deion replied that he didn\u2019t. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cNew toes coming soon,\u201d the post was captioned. <\/p>\n<p>Shedeur\u2019s response suggested that he was already aware about these \u201cnew toes\u201d his dad is referring to, which might be some sort of prosthetic. <\/p>\n<p>Or perhaps Deion and Shedeur are just trolling. Regardless, it will be interesting to see what type of \u201cnew toes\u201d Deion might tout in the weeks to come.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Deion Sanders is no stranger to making headlines with his words.
