The Robot Studio<\/p>\n<p>The price of a robot companion isn\u2019t exactly pocket change.<\/p>\n<p>Renting one runs about $500 an hour, while buying one outright costs anywhere from $13,000 to $80,000, depending on the model.<\/p>\n<p>Every booking comes with custom outfits and accessories tailored to the event, music and choreography if requested, plus a trained technician to keep everything running smoothly.<\/p>\n<p>All the host has to provide is a standard power outlet.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe bots are friendly and entertaining,\u201d owner Aaron Mehdizadeh told The Post. \u201cEveryone <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/05\/16\/us-news\/southwest-airlines-bans-robots-after-humanoid-stewie-takes-a-flight\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">loves Stewie<\/a>, who\u2019s named after the character on \u2018Family Guy.\u2019 He\u2019s adorable and enthusiastic, but also kind of a wise guy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>John Travolta strikes the pose in the 1977 hit \u201cSaturday Night Fever\u201d the bot tries to imitate Moviestore\/Shutterstock<\/p>\n<p>Stewie doesn\u2019t just stand around looking futuristic.<\/p>\n<p>The three-foot-three bot greets guests, shakes hands, claps, dances, strikes action poses and responds to basic voice commands \u2014 quickly becoming the unofficial host where ever he rolls in.<\/p>\n<p>The rest of the robotic cast has personalities too.<\/p>\n<p>They\u2019re imported, then trained and programmed at The Robot Studio. They\u2019re everyone\u2019s best friend.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>They\u2019re daring drivers too.<\/p>\n<p>So far, the company has six bots, with another half-dozen on the way.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey\u2019re designed to engage, entertain and amaze,\u201d he said. \u201cEveryone who\u2019s rented one says the robot made the event unforgettable.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The machines are surprisingly sturdy.<\/p>\n<p>The Robot Studio founder Aaron Mehdizadeh launched the buzzy startup in the fall of 2025. They\u2019re built from metal alloys, carbon fiber and plastic.<\/p>\n<p>The robots begin life with established Chinese manufacturers including Unitree and Booster before being customized and programmed by The Robot Studio. <\/p>\n<p>But <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/07\/29\/business\/trump-administration-bans-chinese-robot-imports-citing-national-security-threats\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">President Trump\u2019s recent restrictions on certain Chinese robot imports<\/a> over national security concerns could make adding new bots to the fleet more complicated, added Mehdizadeh.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\tStart your day with all you need to know\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p class=\"inline-module__cta\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\tMorning Report delivers the latest news, videos, photos and more.\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\tThanks for signing up!\n\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>For now, they\u2019re mostly stealing the show at parties.<\/p>\n<p>But Mehdizadeh believes they won\u2019t stay there for long \u2014 they\u2019ll soon be standing in line at the supermarket along with you, throwing the frisbee at the nearby park, walking your neighbor\u2019s dog or fixing that stubborn leak in the faucet.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOne of the first places you\u2019ll see them is hotels, acting as concierges,\u201d he said. \u201cThey\u2019ll greet guests, give directions and show people to their rooms.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The bots are in the Dallas studio are ready to be called into action at any time.
