FC Barcelona<\/a> remain hopeful of signing Luis D\u00edaz this summer and are closely monitoring the winger\u2019s next move, as the Colombian considers when and how to formally ask Liverpool<\/a> to let him leave. Despite recent speculation suggesting that a transfer to Camp Nou is unlikely or that Bayern Munich<\/a> may be ahead in the race, a new report<\/a> says that sources close to the player insist that D\u00edaz still dreams of wearing the blaugrana shirt.<\/p>\n

The 27-year-old is currently weighing his options after a reflective end to his vacation in Barranquilla. Barcelona are aware of D\u00edaz\u2019s continued desire to join the club and see him as a priority target to reinforce the left wing, especially after Nico Williams chose to renew with Athletic Club.<\/p>\n

However, recent events have complicated the timing of his request. The sudden and tragic death of teammate Diogo Jota has left Liverpool in mourning, forcing D\u00edaz to postpone any personal demands out of respect for the club\u2019s emotional state.<\/p>\n

Barcelona are prepared to act once D\u00edaz makes his intentions clear.
