James Van Der Beek\u2019s Wife Kimberly Marks First Wedding Anniversary Since His Death<\/p>\n
James Van Der Beek<\/a>\u2019s wife\u00a0Kimberly Van Der Beek\u00a0is marking a special milestone in the pair\u2019s marriage.\u00a0<\/p>\n Six months after the\u00a0Dawson\u2019s Creek\u00a0alum died<\/a> following a yearslong battle with colorectal cancer, his wife shared a message in honor of what would have been the couple\u2019s 16th wedding anniversary.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201c16 years ago I was the luckiest woman in the world to marry @vanderjames,\u201d Kimberly wrote on\u00a0Instagram<\/a>\u00a0Aug. 1 alongside photos with the late actor. \u201cThe beauty of this marriage continues to unfold everyday with all these incredible children we have.\u201d<\/p>\n Indeed, Kimberly\u2014mom to\u00a0Olivia, 15,\u00a0Joshua, 14,\u00a0Annabel, 12,\u00a0Emilia, 10,\u00a0Gwendolyn, 8, and\u00a0Jeremiah, 4, with James\u2014shared she still feels her husband\u2019s presence, adding, \u201cHe continues to be present and guide us. I’m eternally grateful.\u201d<\/p>\n James died Feb. 11 after battling colorectal cancer, which he was diagnosed with in 2023. He was 48.\u00a0<\/p>\n “Our beloved James David Van Der Beek passed peacefully this morning,” a statement shared to James and Kimberly’s\u00a0Instagram<\/a>\u00a0accounts read at the time. “He met his final days with courage, faith, and grace.”<\/p>\n
