It felt like a Brunswick-Park View basketball game from the year 2000 Saturday night when alumni teams from the two schools faced off in front of a capacity crowd in South Hill.\n<\/p>\n
The Bulldogs topped Park View 61-55 in the title game of the Alumni Classic but the highlight of the night for many was the chance to see Dragons\u2019 alum Keldon Johnson, the NBA\u2019s Sixth Man of the Year who played in the NBA Finals with the San Antonio Spurs, play in person.<\/p>\n

Johnson, who had shoulder surgery after the season ended, played in both games for the Dragons and said after the title game that he hopes this will become an annual tradition. Johnson was in town for the annual Keldon and Kaleb Johnson Youth Basketball Camp that was held at Brunswick High School and Southside Virginia Community College.\n<\/p>\n
Johnson thanked the capacity crowd for its support.\n<\/p>\n
\u201cWe appreciate all of the fans coming out tonight,\u201d he said.\n<\/p>\n

The alumni event actually started on Friday night when Brunswick topped Greensville in overtime in the opening game of the night but the later games were postponed due to condensation making the court slippery due to the large crowd in the gymnasium on a humid evening.\n<\/p>\n
The games resumed on Saturday evening with no further issues.\n<\/p>\n
Several players in the four-team tournament had professional basketball experience in addition to Johnson.\n<\/p>\n
The field also included several players who played at four-year colleges as well as a number of former SVCC hoops standouts.\n<\/p>\n
The event was put on by Real Raw LLC.\n<\/p>\n
Greensville County claimed the consolation game with a victory over Bluestone.\n<\/p>\n

Brunswick 61, Park View 55\n<\/p>\n
It was a close game throughout but Brunswick opened up a five-point lead with six minutes to play and never relented in picking up a 61-55 victory over Park View in the title game.\n<\/p>\n
Casey Walker paced Brunswick with 20 points while B. J. Stith finished with 17 and Antonio Epps added 13.\n<\/p>\n
Keldon Johnson led Park View with 19 points while Tae Holmes scored 13 and Josh Boyd added nine.\n<\/p>\n

Park View 68, Bluestone 46\n<\/p>\n
Park View advanced to the finals by topping Bluestone 68-46 in its tourney opener.\n<\/p>\n
The game was close early but Park View opened up a 30-23 lead at the halftime break and pulled away in the second stanza.\n<\/p>\n
Keldon Johnson led all scorers with 22 points for the Park View alumni team while Charlzae Holmes scored 12 and Tae Holmes added 10.\n<\/p>\n
The Barons were led by Nile Atwater who scored 17 points while Naj Davis added 11.\n<\/p>\n

Brunswick 51, Greensville 44\n<\/p>\n
The Bulldogs advanced to the title game by dispatching Greensville County 51-44 in overtime Friday evening.\n<\/p>\n
Brunswick trailed by three late but Walker hit three free-throws to send the game into overtime where the Bulldogs pulled away.\n<\/p>\n
Tre Mason and Walker paced Brunswick with 10 points apiece while Aaron Scott added nine.\n<\/p>\n
Danny Alford paced Greensville with seven points while Trey Drake, Michael Stokes and Jordan Doyle added six apiece.\n<\/p>\n
