{"id":802973,"date":"2026-08-05T01:20:09","date_gmt":"2026-08-05T01:20:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/802973\/"},"modified":"2026-08-05T01:20:09","modified_gmt":"2026-08-05T01:20:09","slug":"way-more-americans-are-worried-about-cost-of-food-healthcare-than-the-stock-market-poll","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/802973\/","title":{"rendered":"Way more Americans are worried about cost of food, healthcare than the stock market: poll"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Many more Americans are worried about paying for food, medical care and housing than they are about how the stock market is doing, according to a new survey.<\/p>\n<p>More than two-thirds (69%) of respondents said they were \u201cvery concerned\u201d about the cost of healthcare, 66% said the same about the price of food and consumer goods, and 64% listed the cost of housing as a major concern, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pewresearch.org\/politics\/2026\/07\/23\/americans-evaluations-of-the-economy-remain-negative\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">according to the\u00a0Pew Research Center study<\/a>\u00a0published in July.<\/p>\n<p>That contrasted with just 18% of respondents who said they were very concerned about how the stock market was doing.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" style=\"aspect-ratio:1.49926794;display:block\" decoding=\"async\" data-modal-image=\"40186768\" width=\"885\" height=\"590\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/2026-found-95-americans-believe-133793672.jpg\" alt=\"A grocery cart filled with hamburger buns, mixed fruit, sugar, mac and cheese, mayonnaise, eggs, muffins, and Oreo Thins.\" class=\"wp-image-40186768\"  \/>Two-thirds of Americans are \u201cvery concerned\u201d about food and consumer goods prices.
