Three people were killed and one person would wounded in a shooting at a Caswell County home on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
The Caswell County Sheriff\u2019s Office said the shooting occurred before 8 a.m. on Brooks Road in the Prospect Hill area.<\/p>\n
Three people died while one person was taken to Duke University Hospital with a gunshot wound. That person’s condition is unknown.<\/p>\n
When asked about the relationship between the suspect and victims, Caswell County Sheriff Tony Durden said: “All members were in the same family.”<\/p>\n
During a media briefing Wednesday afternoon, Sheriff Durden said the Sheriff’s Office had no evidence the family contacted authorities over domestic issues.<\/p>\n
Durden said the suspect is dead. The names of those involved have not been released.<\/p>\n
There is no threat to the public.<\/p>\n
The circumstances around the shooting are not known.<\/p>\n
Investigators with the Caswell County Sheriff\u2019s Office, North Carolina State Highway Patrol and State Bureau of Investigation were seen gathered in front of the home around 1 p.m.<\/p>\n
