Former Patriots and Colts kicker Adam Vinatieri entered the Hall of Fame on the same day that former Patriots and Browns coach Bill Belichick should have been getting his own bronze bust.<\/p>\n
Belichick wasn\u2019t present for Saturday\u2019s enshrinement ceremony. But Vinatieri mentioned the coach in his speech.<\/p>\n
\u201cI thought it was because training camp had already started,\u201d Vinatieri said regarding Belichick\u2019s absence, \u201cbut in truth it\u2019s because he is judging his girlfriend\u2019s cheerleading competition.\u201d <\/p>\n
Vinatieri followed the jab with a bouquet: \u201cAll jokes aside, in my opinion Bill is the greatest coach of all time.\u201d<\/p>\n
It\u2019s the second straight Hall of Fame weekend that included an honoree taking a shot at Belichick\u2019s May\/next-December romance. <\/p>\n
