Development possible into next week<\/p>\n
The NHC is watching two tropical waves for possible development next week.<\/p>\n
ORLANDO, Fla. \u2013 The Atlantic is beginning to emerge from its hibernation as a conga line of tropical waves are moving off of the West African coastline. The National Hurricane Center is eyeing two for possible development next week.<\/p>\n
The first wave is currently moving westward over the main development region of the Atlantic. As it continues to move westward, it has a low chance of development. It has a plethora of hurdles to inhibit organization including Saharan Dust, high wind shear, and slightly cooler-than-normal ocean temperatures.<\/p>\n
The second wave the NHC is watching still has yet to depart into the Atlantic waters. Once it does early next week, environmental conditions will be a little more conducive for development as it tracks to the west. This wave currently has a medium chance of development into at least a Tropical Depression next week.<\/p>\n
