{"id":807999,"date":"2026-08-09T14:44:08","date_gmt":"2026-08-09T14:44:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/807999\/"},"modified":"2026-08-09T14:44:08","modified_gmt":"2026-08-09T14:44:08","slug":"louis-page-manchester-united-working-on-deal-to-sign-leicester-teenager","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/807999\/","title":{"rendered":"Louis Page: Manchester United working on deal to sign Leicester teenager"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Manchester United are working on a deal to sign Leicester teenager Louis Page.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The 18-year-old midfielder, who was named EFL Apprentice of the Year last season, is viewed as one of the most exciting talents outside the top flight.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">An England Under-20 international, Page has already made 21 senior appearances for the Foxes &#8211; including five starts last season as they were relegated from the Championship &#8211; and his most recent coming in the Carabao Cup win over Northampton on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Talks over an agreement are understood to be ongoing. <\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Arsenal and Aston Villa have shown a big interest too in Page, who turned 18 last month, in recent weeks.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Page could now become the latest Leicester prospect that leaves the club after forward Jeremy Monga, 17, joined Manchester City.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The youngster signed professional terms with the Foxes in September 2025, meaning United need to agree a transfer fee with the League One side.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">At the time of signing that contract, Leicester described him as &#8220;one of the brightest talents in our system&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">He joined the club at under-9s and made his senior debut against Huddersfield Town in the Carabao Cup in August 2025.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Manchester United are working on a deal to sign Leicester teenager Louis Page.
