A vehicle was seen turned onto its side and appeared to have caught fire after crashing into a utility pole near the road. Multiple fire officials were seen dousing a portion of the vehicle with water following the incident. (Photos below) Allegheny County dispatchers confirmed at least one person was taken to the hospital from the scene. As of 4 p.m., Duquesne Light reported roughly 1,000 customers were without power. One person was taken to the hospital, and roughly 1,000 people were left without power after a vehicle crashed into a utility pole in Wilkinsburg Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 was on the scene in the area of Laketon Road, where multiple downed power lines and debris could be seen along the road and in neighboring yards. <\/p>\n

A vehicle was seen turned onto its side and appeared to have caught fire after crashing into a utility pole near the road. Multiple fire officials were seen dousing a portion of the vehicle with water following the incident. (Photos below) <\/p>\n
