Former Boston Bruins prospect John Farinacci<\/a> has signed<\/a> a one-year AHL contract with the Milwaukee Admirals.\u00a0He spent the entirety of the 2025-26 season with the AHL\u2019s Providence Bruins while playing through a one-year contract signed by the Boston Bruins.<\/p>\n

Farinacci, 25, failed to command a top lineup role in Providence. He scored just nine goals and 19 points in 68 games last season \u2013 the lowest scoring pace of his young pro career. He reached 10 goals and 38 points in 58 games of the 2024-25 season, tying the point total he posted in 71 games of 2023-24. Despite modest scoring and special teams upside, Farinacci was unable to command a stint with Boston through his three-year tenure in Providence. He played in just one NHL game \u2013 the final game of Boston\u2019s 2024-25 regular season. Farinacci scored his first NHL goal on his first NHL shot in that outing.<\/p>\n

While his development has stalled, Milwaukee could still find a way to bank on Farinacci\u2019s potential. Farinacci was drafted directly out of high school in the top 100 of the 2019 NHL Draft. He went on to become a key contributor at Harvard University, recording 61 points in 79 collegiate games. Farinacci showed prowess as both a facilitator and two-way forward through three seasons with the Crimson.<\/p>\n

His playmaking and defensive awareness could be highlighted by the Admirals\u2019 litany of strong wingers, including Reid Schaefer<\/a> and Aiden Fink<\/a>.
