\n\tChristy Knowings<\/a>, a cast member of Nickelodeon<\/a>\u2018s \u201990s hit All That<\/a>, died Tuesday, August 11, after being removed from life support at a Los Angeles-area hospital, TMZ reports. She was 46.<\/p>\n

\n\tKnowing\u2019s aunt, Tyleah Joseph, announced the death Wednesday on Facebook, but a cause was not disclosed.<\/p>\n

\n\tAccording to TMZ, citing family sources, Knowings was placed on life support after suffering an asthma attack on August 7 that left her with brain damage. The family made the decision to take her off life support on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

\n\tAfter appearing on a failed 1997 Nickelodeon sketch-comedy pilot called And Now This, Knowings joined the network\u2019s All That the same year. She would spend three seasons on the popular show, which, at the time, included fellow cast members including Kel Mitchell, Kenan Thompson, Danny Tamberelli, Nick Cannon, Amanda Bynes and others.<\/p>\n

\n\tAmong her characters on All That were a assistant to Bynes\u2019 dentist, Jessica from the recurring \u201cWhateverrr!!!\u201d skits and newscaster Brenda Stone.<\/p>\n

\n\tFollowing All That, Knowings appeared in several episodes of Sesame Street from 2008-11 alongside her twin brother Chris Knowings, who was a more frequent actor on the series and had appeared in Spike Lee\u2019s 1994 film Crooklyn.<\/p>\n

\n\tKnowings, who was born on February 25, 1980, in the Bronx, is the second former All That cast member to die this year following the fatal hit-and-run <\/a>of Kianna Underwood\u00a0in January in Brooklyn.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn her Facebook post, Knowings\u2019 aunt wrote, \u201cMy brother Charles\u2019 daughter Chrissy (Christy Knowings) has passed. \u2026 She was a outstanding actress, comedian, twin sister, an amazing daughter\u2026.Rest in power Chrissy.\u201d<\/p>\n
