\n\tYou already know the real answer \u2014 it\u2019s in the headline, after all \u2014 but it\u2019s still surprising that the answer is 2003\u2019s How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cHow to Lose a Guy in 10 Days\u00a0is the gift that keeps on giving,\u201d McConaughey told the\u00a0Happy Sad Confused<\/a>\u00a0podcast. \u201cI think it\u2019s probably my favorite rom-com I\u2019ve done. And a lot of people love that rom-com. It still pays the best \u2018mailbox money\u2019 of any film I\u2019ve ever done. By far. \u2026 When [home video] used to be just DVDs or cable [instead of streaming or VOD], every March I\u2019d get a big check because of Valentine\u2019s Day.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tIn the Donald Petrie film, \u201ca high-powered ad executive (McConaughey) bets he can make any woman fall in love with him in ten days; he unknowingly picks a magazine writer (Kate Hudson) who is executing her own covert assignment to drive a man away in the exact same timeframe.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tMcConaughey \u2014 who\u2019s currently promoting his new film, The Rivals of Amziah King<\/a>
\u2014 starred in a slew of early 2000s rom-coms, including The Wedding Planner\u00a0(2001),\u00a0Failure to Launch\u00a0(2006) and\u00a0Fool\u2019s Gold\u00a0(2008).<\/p>\n

\n\tIn a separate interview with The Playlist<\/a>, the actor also gave an update, of sorts, on the Yellowstone spin-off that he was in talks to do for writer-producer Taylor Sheridan. McConaughey says the project is not dead, though it doesn\u2019t sound like it\u2019s particularly lively, either.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIt\u2019s not any more of a thing than it was or probably any less of a thing than it was that did hit the headlines there for a while,\u201d\u00a0McConaughey said. \u201cTaylor and I have spoken and have continued to have conversations about what [it could be] and if that would be whatever. But nothing\u2019s real yet.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tBack in 2023, as Yellowstone star Kevin Costner was doing his protracted split with the Paramount Network series, reports first surfaced about Sheridan courting McConaughey. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cHe seems like a natural fit,\u201d\u00a0Sheridan said at the time<\/a>. \u201cWe had a few conversations over the years, and spitballed a few ideas. Then he started watching\u00a0Yellowstone\u00a0and responded to it. He was like, \u2018I want to do that.\u2019 And by \u2018that\u2019 he meant diving into a raw world clashing up against the modern world.
