(WJAR) \u2014 Residents in South Kingstown are on alert after a series of raccoon attacks. <\/p>\n<p>At least <a href=\"https:\/\/turnto10.com\/news\/local\/warning-signs-posted-after-rabid-raccoon-attacks-man-in-south-kingstown-potter-wood-police-kingston-improvement-association-august-12-2026\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">three people have encountered the <\/a>raccoon in Potter Woods. One person was hospitalized after being attacked. <\/p>\n<p><img alt=\"Residents met Thursday night to discuss the recent attacks, Aug. 13, 2026. (WJAR)<\/p>\n<p>Warning signs have been posted at Potter Wood asking residents to avoid the area. <\/p>\n<p>Several neighbors met Thursday night to talk about the racoon. <\/p>\n<p>Residents believe the racoon may have rabies. <\/p>\n<p><img alt=\"Potter Woods in South Kingstown.
