{"id":813728,"date":"2026-08-14T20:32:10","date_gmt":"2026-08-14T20:32:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/813728\/"},"modified":"2026-08-14T20:32:10","modified_gmt":"2026-08-14T20:32:10","slug":"rudy-gobert-reportedly-paid-for-t-wolves-trip-to-paris-during-2026-nba-offseason","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/813728\/","title":{"rendered":"Rudy Gobert Reportedly Paid for T-Wolves&#8217; Trip to Paris During 2026 NBA Offseason"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-bp_small__body__article__medium mui-m06sf4\">Rudy Gobert reportedly bankrolled part of the Minnesota Timberwolves&#8217; recent <a class=\"MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-inherit MuiLink-root MuiLink-underlineAlways MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-bp_small__ui__link__medium_strong mui-mlpnpn\" href=\"https:\/\/bleacherreport.com\/articles\/25469810-rudy-gobert-shares-photo-anthony-edwards-lamelo-ball-t-wolves-eiffel-tower-paris\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">trip<\/a> to his home nation of France.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-bp_small__body__article__medium mui-m06sf4\">The Athletic&#8217;s Jon Krawczynski reported Friday that Gobert &#8220;covered the whole team&#8217;s expenses in Paris.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-bp_small__body__article__medium mui-m06sf4\">Gobert was also responsible for organizing workouts and team-building activities in Paris, according to Krawczynski.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-bp_small__body__article__medium mui-m06sf4\"><a class=\"MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-inherit MuiLink-root MuiLink-underlineAlways MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-bp_small__ui__link__medium_strong mui-mlpnpn\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/7504497\/2026\/08\/10\/anthony-edwards-new-look-timberwolves-trip-paris\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Krawczynski<\/a> previously reported Anthony Edwards and LaMelo Ball offered to pay for the team&#8217;s flights to Paris.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-bp_small__body__article__medium mui-m06sf4\">Gobert has been sharing looks into his team&#8217;s trip to Paris in a series of <a class=\"MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-inherit MuiLink-root MuiLink-underlineAlways MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-bp_small__ui__link__medium_strong mui-mlpnpn\" href=\"https:\/\/bleacherreport.com\/articles\/25469810-rudy-gobert-shares-photo-anthony-edwards-lamelo-ball-t-wolves-eiffel-tower-paris\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">posts<\/a> on social media.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-bp_small__body__article__medium mui-m06sf4\"><a class=\"MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-inherit MuiLink-root MuiLink-underlineAlways MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-bp_small__ui__link__medium_strong mui-mlpnpn\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=NbdYdeVgGwI&amp;t=345s\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Krawczynski<\/a> previously reported in July that Edwards and Ball led the discussion about traveling to France to work out with Gobert.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-bp_small__body__article__medium mui-m06sf4\">According to <a class=\"MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-inherit MuiLink-root MuiLink-underlineAlways MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-bp_small__ui__link__medium_strong mui-mlpnpn\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/7504497\/2026\/08\/10\/anthony-edwards-new-look-timberwolves-trip-paris\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Krawczynski<\/a>, Gobert was interested in welcoming the team to Paris in part because he wanted to begin early work on building a connection with Ball.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-bp_small__body__article__medium mui-m06sf4\">The Timberwolves underwent a roster overhaul after last season&#8217;s elimination from the second round by parting ways with Mike Conley and Julius Randle and bringing in Ball.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-bp_small__body__article__medium mui-m06sf4\">The Wolves could now hope that providing extra time for Ball and Gobert to establish chemistry will help this team make a deeper run in 2027.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Rudy Gobert reportedly bankrolled part of the Minnesota Timberwolves&#8217; recent trip to his home nation of France.
