{"id":813920,"date":"2026-08-15T00:36:15","date_gmt":"2026-08-15T00:36:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/813920\/"},"modified":"2026-08-15T00:36:15","modified_gmt":"2026-08-15T00:36:15","slug":"india-cuts-windfall-tax-on-exports-of-petrol-diesel-aviation-fuel","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/813920\/","title":{"rendered":"India cuts windfall tax on exports of petrol, diesel, aviation fuel"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>India \u200bhas lowered windfall taxes on exports \u200bof petrol, diesel and aviation turbine fuel with effect from Saturday, according to \u200ca government \u2060order.<\/p>\n<p>The \u2060duty on diesel exports has \u200bbeen cut to 24 Indian rupees ($0.2515) per \u200blitre from 25.5 rupees, while petrol duty has been set at zero \u200brupees per litre, \u2060down from \u200c3.5 rupees, the government \u200border showed.<br \/>The \u200btax on aviation turbine \u2060fuel has been set at \u200b19.5 rupees per litre from 22 \u200brupees earlier.<\/p>\n<p>India first imposed windfall taxes in July 2022 to capture extraordinary gains from soaring oil prices and scrapped it \u200ctwo years later.
