This swim was eight hundredths off his lifetime best of 21.46 from April of 2025.<\/p>\n American Michael Andrew<\/a> swam the top time in the \u2018B\u2019 final of 21.63. This was just under two tenths off his lifetime best of 21.41 from June of 2022.<\/p>\n Women\u2019s 200m Breaststroke\u00a0\u2013 Final<\/p>\n World Record: 2:17.55, Evgeniia Chikunova (RUS) \u2013 2023 Top 8 Finishers<\/p>\n Alexanne Lepage<\/a> (CAN) \u2014 2:21.73 The women\u2019s 200 breaststroke dove in just 25 minutes after the women\u2019s 50 free final, and Canada\u2019s Alexanne Lepage had an absolutely massive swim of 2:21.73 to pick up the top time in the event, taking more than a second off her lifetime best.<\/p>\n Lepage led the race from start-to-finish, though the race was incredibly close through the first 100. She swam 32.16\/36.05 to make the turn in 1:08.21, just four tenths ahead of Kate Douglass<\/a>\u2018 32.36\/36.29 splits to turn 2nd in 1:08.65. South Africa\u2019s Kaylene Corbett<\/a> was an additional two tenths back in 1:08.89 for 3rd (32.70\/36.19).<\/p>\n On the 3rd 50, Lepage extended her lead significantly, splitting 36.17 to turn in 1:44.38, more than a second ahead of Corbett, who split 36.69 to turn in 2nd at 1:45.58. Douglass was 3rd with her 36.99 and 1:45.64 split.<\/p>\n Lepage held on tight for the final 50, splitting 37.35 to touch in 2:21.73, more than a second faster than the 2:23.03 she swam in July at the Canadian Trials. She has dropped time in the event three previous times this season, and her preseason best stood at 2:24.70 from September of 2023.<\/p>\n Douglass swam 36.93 to stop the clock in2 :22.57 for silver, and Corbett split 37.39 to finish in 2:22.97 for the bronze.<\/p>\n Douglass\u2019 best is 2:18.50 from the 2025 World Championships and Corbett\u2019s is 2:22.06 from the Tokyo Olympics.<\/p>\n Men\u2019s 200m Breaststroke\u00a0\u2013 Final<\/p>\n World Record: 2:05.48, Haiyang Qin (CHN) \u2013 2023 Top 8 Finishers<\/p>\n Zac Stubblety-Cook<\/a> (AUS) \u2014 2:08.09 Australia\u2019s Zac Stubblety-Cook<\/a> won the men\u2019s 200 breaststroke final, stopping the clock in 2:08.09 to finish two tenths ahead of American Josh Matheny<\/a>.<\/p>\n Stubblety-Cook came from behind, turning in 7th at the 50 mark after splitting 29.56 on the first 50 to sit more than a second behind Shin Ohashi<\/a>, who led the field in 28.28.<\/p>\n At the 100 mark, Stubblety-Cook had moved into 5th overall, turning in 1:02.21 after splitting 32.65. Ohashi was still in the lead at 1:00.72 after he split 32.44.<\/p>\n Stubblety-Cook jumped to 4th after the 3rd 50, cutting into Ohashi\u2019s lead slightly as he split 33.37 to gain a little more than a tenth on Ohashi\u2019s 33.51.<\/p>\n The final 50 saw Stubblety-Cook split the fastest 50 in the field by more than half-a-second, touching in 32.51 to outsplit Ohashi\u2019s 34.04 by a second-and-a-half. Stubblety-Cook\u2019s final time of 2:08.09 was his fastest swim since his back injury<\/a> that saw him miss the 2025 World Championships.<\/p>\n American Josh Matheny<\/a> also had a very fast final 50, splitting 29.18\/32.72\/33.34\/33.02 to stop the clock in 2:08.25 for the silver medal. This was a new lifetime best by seven hundredths from the 2:08.32 he swam in June of 2023.<\/p>\n Ohashi finished in 2:08.27, just two hundredths back of Matheny, for the bronze medal. he missed his best of 2:06.59 by a little less than two seconds.<\/p>\n Campbell McKean<\/a> won the \u2018B\u2019 final in a new lifetime best 2:10.28, a near second drop from the 2:11.13 he swam at the 2025 U.S. Nationals. He would have been the 2nd fastest American in the event with AJ Pouch<\/a> finishing 6th in 2:10.67.<\/p>\n Men\u2019s 1500m Freestyle\u00a0\u2013 Fastest Heat<\/p>\n World Record: 14:26.79, Johannes Liebmann<\/a> (GER) \u2014 2026 Top 8 Finishers<\/p>\n Sam Short<\/a> (AUS) \u2014 14:33.97 **New Championship Record Sam Short<\/a> wrapped up his phenomenal summer with a win, meet record, and Australian record in the men\u2019s 1500 freestyle, stopping the clock in 14:33.97 to finish nearly 10 seconds ahead of the rest of the field.<\/p>\n Short got out fast, taking the lead from the first 50 of the race. He was 55.13 at the first 100 mark to sit about five tenths ahead of Bobby Finke<\/a>\u2018s 55.69 in 2nd place.<\/p>\n From there, Short only extended his lead. At the 500, he turned in 4:50.12 to sit a second-and-a-half ahead of Finke\u2019s 4:51.60 in 2nd place.<\/p>\n Short split 4:53.38\/4:50.47 on his last two 500s, coming home faster than he went out to finish in 14:33.97. This was a massive personal best for Short from the 14:37.28 he swam at the 2023 World Championships. He also took down Grant Hackett\u2019s 2001 Australian record time of 14:34.56 from the 2001 World Championships.<\/p>\n Kazushi Imafuku<\/a> swam 14:42.59 for 2nd, a new Japanese record time and eight seconds fatter than his previous best of 14:50.18 from March of 2025.<\/p>\n Bobby Finke<\/a> took 3rd in 14:44.26, three seconds ahead of China\u2019s Zhang Zhanshuo<\/a>, who swam 14:47.24 for 4th.<\/p>\n Women\u2019s 800m Freestyle\u00a0\u2013 Fastest Heat<\/p>\n Top 8 Finishers<\/p>\n Lani Pallister<\/a> (AUS) \u2014 8:06.10 The women\u2019s 800 freestyle ended in an upset as Australia\u2019s Lani Pallister<\/a> took down world record holder Katie Ledecky<\/a> with a time of 8:06.10.<\/p>\n Pallister\u2019s swim was a little more than a tenth off her World Championships Australian record time of 8:05.98, but was a new Pan Pacs meet record, taking three seconds off Ledecky\u2019s 2018 record time of 8:09.13.<\/p>\n She has been absolutely unstoppable this season, and tonight she took down Ledecky in the 800 freestyle something only two swimmers have accomplished in the last 10 year.s<\/p>\n Pallister was out fast, starting under world record pace through the first portion of the race. She split 4:00.70 on the first 400, a little more than a second under Ledecky\u2019s world record pace of 4:01.78 from last May.<\/p>\n She fell off that blistering pace a little over the next 400 meters, splitting 4:05.40 on the 2nd 400 to lock up the win by more than a second over the world record holder.<\/p>\n Ledecky split 4:02.02\/4:05.24 to finish 2nd in 8:07.26. This was a new season best for her by about a second from the 8:08.57 she swam at the Pro Swim Series in Westmont.<\/p>\n New Zealand\u2019s Erika Fairweather swam 8:18.81 to finish 3rd, a second off the New Zealand national record time of 8:17.65. She split 4:07.27\/4:11.54 to finish about eight tenths off her lifetime best of 8:18.00 from April of 2023.<\/p>\n Women\u2019s 4\u00d7100 Medley Relay \u2014 Timed Final<\/p>\n World Record: 3:49.34, United States \u2014 2026 Top 8 Teams<\/p>\n United States (Berkoff, Siroky, Walsh, Douglass) \u2014 3:50.43 **New Championship Record The United States women capped off their Pan Pacs with a gold medal, meet, and U.S. Open record in the women\u2019s 400 medley relay and Gretchen Walsh<\/a> picked up the fastest 100 fly split in history.<\/p>\n Katharine Berkoff<\/a> got the team off to an early lead, splitting 58.35 on the first 100 to touch almost a second ahead of Iona Anderson<\/a> from Australia, who swam 59.23 for 2nd.<\/p>\n McKenzie Siroky<\/a> split 1:05.07 on the breaststroke leg, the fastest breaststroke split in the field, before handing off to Gretchen Walsh<\/a>. She swam 54.78 on the butterfly, the fastest butterfly split in history. The previous fastest was the 54.98 she swam on the world record breaking relay back in Singapore last summer.<\/p>\n Kate Douglass<\/a> anchored the team, in her 3rd event of the day, splitting 52.23, the fastest freestyle split in the event. She stopped the clock in 3:50.43 to take two seconds off Australia\u2019s meet record of 3:52.74 from 2018 and five seconds off the U.S. Open record of 3:55.23 from 2010.<\/p>\n Australia finished 2nd in 3:55.09 with Ella Ramsay<\/a> on breaststroke (1:06.21), Alexandria Perkins<\/a> (57.04), and Meg Harris<\/a> (52.61).<\/p>\n China picked up the bronze with their team of Wan Letian<\/a> (1:00.40), Tang Qianting<\/a> (1:05.70), Yu Yiting<\/a> (56.49), and Chen Yujie (53.74) touching in 3:56.33.<\/p>\n Canada was 4th after Ingrid Wilm<\/a> (59.61), Alexanne Lepage<\/a> (1:06.30), Summer McIntosh<\/a> (58.36), and Taylor Ruck<\/a> (52.57) swam 3:56.84.<\/p>\n Men\u2019s 4\u00d7100 Medley Relay \u2014 Timed Final<\/p>\n World Record: 3:26.78, United States \u2014 2021 Top 8 Teams<\/p>\n United States (Modglin, Mathias, Urlando, Alexy) \u2014 3:29.06 **New Championship Record The United States men won the final event of the meet, the 400 medley relay, in a new meet and U.S. Open record of 3:29.06 as the only team under 3:30 in the event.<\/p>\n Will Modglin<\/a> had the fastest opening 100 in the eent, swimming 53.86 to put the American team in the lead. Van Mathias<\/a> split 57.72 on the breaststroke, the only sub 58 split in the field. Luca Urlando<\/a> swam 50.51 on the butterfly, and Jack Alexy<\/a> anchored the team in 46.97.<\/p>\n Australia finished 2nd in 3:30.16 with Stuart Swinburn<\/a> (54.66), Samuel Williamson<\/a> (58.64), Matthew Temple<\/a> (49.70), and Harrison Turner<\/a> (47.16). Temple\u2019s butterfly spit of 49.70 was the only sub-50 swim in the field.<\/p>\n The United States \u2018B\u2019 team swam the 3rd fastest time from the first heat, with Jack Aikins<\/a> (54.27), Josh Matheny<\/a> (58.82), Thomas Heilman<\/a> (50.88), and Chris Guiliano<\/a> (46.86) touching in 3:30.83.
