{"id":816120,"date":"2026-08-17T02:48:12","date_gmt":"2026-08-17T02:48:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/816120\/"},"modified":"2026-08-17T02:48:12","modified_gmt":"2026-08-17T02:48:12","slug":"singapores-non-oil-exports-rise-24-2-on-strong-ai-demand","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/816120\/","title":{"rendered":"Singapore\u2019s non-oil exports rise 24.2% on strong AI demand"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"text-primary font-tertiary-body-baseline-regular\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">SINGAPORE \u2013 Singapore\u2019s non-oil domestic exports (NODX) rose 24.2 per cent in July, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.straitstimes.com\/business\/spores-key-exports-rise-20-7-in-june-miss-forecasts-despite-strong-ai-demand?ref=inline-article\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" class=\"gap-x-04 items-center inline text-primary-60 select-auto\" aria-label=\"link\" target=\"_blank\" data-testid=\"custom-link\">extending the 20.8 per cent rise in June,<\/a> as electronics shipments continued to surge due to AI-related demand.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-primary font-tertiary-body-baseline-regular\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">It fell short of economists\u2019 forecast of 26.5 per cent in a Bloomberg poll.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-primary font-tertiary-body-baseline-regular\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">Electronic NODX grew 112 per cent, according to figures released by Enterprise Singapore on Aug 17, with disk media products seeing the largest increase at 339.1 per cent. PCs expanded 120.8 per cent while integrated circuits grew 84.5 per cent.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-primary font-tertiary-body-baseline-regular\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">Meanwhile, non-electronic NODX dipped 2.3 per cent, with pharmaceuticals leading the contraction at 56.7 per cent.
