Salisbury St. in downtown Raleigh.\u00a0People who wish to speak during the meeting can s<a href=\"https:\/\/boccomment.wake.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">ign up online beginning at 9 a.m.<\/a> or register to speak in person before the meeting begins.<\/p>\n<p>A vote has not yet been scheduled for the potential merger, which has\u00a0received a lot of pushback and criticism over questions about higher costs and a lower quality of care.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0The investment is worth at least $2 billion. WakeMed leaders have said Atrium&#8217;s financial backing will help them serve a growing population, while opponents say the plan<br \/>\ncould lead to higher costs and a lower quality of care.<\/p>\n<p>County leaders must<br \/>\napprove two legal documents before the hospital can move forward with the process.
