Sandberg<\/a> has been tapped to direct a new psychological horror movie, \u201cMommy\u2019s Home,\u201d for Lionsgate. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tFrom screenwriter James Morosini, \u201cMommy\u2019s Home\u201d follows \u201ca young dad whose family life becomes terrifyingly unhinged when his cryogenically preserved mom is unfrozen and sent to live with him,\u201d according to an official logline.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tSandberg is probably best known for writing and directing his viral YouTube short turned horror feature \u201cLights Out.\u201d He also helmed \u201cShazam!\u201d and its 2023 sequel. His most directing credit was 2025\u2019s \u201cUntil Dawn,\u201d a big-screen adaptation of the popular horror video game for Sony. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tSandberg\u2019s other upcoming projects include the sci-fi horror \u201cBelow\u201d for Netflix and Atomic Monster as well as \u201cA Little Slice of Hell\u201d for Paramount. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tMorosini usually works in front of the camera as an actor, recently starring in \u201cIt\u2019s What\u2019s Inside\u201d for Netflix and Steve Pink\u2019s sci-fi thriller \u201cTerrestrial.\u201d \u201cMommy\u2019s Home\u201d marks Morosini\u2019s second feature credit as a screenwriter, after penning, directing and starring in the 2022 dark comedy \u201cI Love My Dad.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tProducers for \u201cMommy\u2019s Home\u201d are Craig Flores, Dawn Olmstead and Anonymous Content. Sandberg and Lotta Losten also produce through their company M\u00e5ngata. Executive producers include Nathan Kahane, Morosini, David Levine, Garrett Kemble and Ryan Schwartz. Scott O\u2019Brien and Maria Ascanio are overseeing the project for Lionsgate. Dan Freedman\u00a0negotiated the deal on behalf of the studio.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tSandberg is represented by CAA, Gotham Group, and Jackoway Austen Tyerman Wertheimer Mandelbaum Morris Bernstein Trattner Auerbach Hynick Jaime LeVine Sample &amp; Klein.
