This is a trial run to see, \u2018Can we go after a head of state from a nation that\u2019s not a member?\u2019\u201d he said, adding: \u201cIf we can go after them and we can get it done with regards to Israel, they will apply that to the United States at some point.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-testid=\"paragraph-element\" class=\"rich-text mb-6 font-graphik text-body-large text-black-coffee focus-visible:outline focus-visible:outline-black-coffee focus-visible:outline-2 focus-visible:outline-offset-2 focus-visible:shadow-focus-color text-left\">Israel has denied the ICC\u2019s war crimes accusations and challenged its jurisdiction. The Pre-Trial Chamber initially <a href=\"https:\/\/www.icc-cpi.int\/news\/situation-state-palestine-icc-pre-trial-chamber-i-rejects-state-israels-challenges\" target=\"undefined\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">rejected<\/a> that challenge, but in April 2025 the Appeals Chamber sent it back for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.icc-cpi.int\/news\/situation-state-palestine-appeals-chamber-reverses-pre-trial-chambers-decision-israels\" target=\"undefined\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">reconsideration<\/a>.
