<\/a>DERRY, N.H. \u2014<\/p>\nDerry police are still searching for a suspect after they said a woman was allegedly assaulted while walking along the trails at the historic Robert Frost Farms.<\/p>\n
Bob Stacy from Derry said he walks those same trails three times a day, every day, and he’s done so for the last decade.<\/p>\n
Derry police said that the alleged assault took place just before 4 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.<\/p>\n
When Stacy showed up for his daily walk with his dog, Savannah, around 6 p.m., he found police still on scene.<\/p>\n
“They had a cruiser blocking off the driveway. And there were two cruisers down here, right around here. And there were a couple of cars here, and that’s all I saw,” Stacy said. <\/p>\n
Police told News 9 the woman was walking along the trail when she was allegedly struck from behind with an unknown object by an unknown person.<\/p>\n
Police said the suspect was described as a white male with gray shorts, but when they arrived on scene, he was gone.\u2002After a search of the area, police said they still haven’t found the suspect.<\/p>\n
Despite this, Barbara Romano, who also visits this trail daily, said she’ll continue to do so.<\/p>\n
“(I’ll be) extra cautious and (I recommend) always carry something with you. And I have my three beautiful dogs,” Romano said. <\/p>\n
