GNC is re-establishing standalone stores in Singapore, as well as building market presence via a partnership with health and beauty retail chain Guardian.<\/p>\n

The new development comes as the Pittsburgh-based health supplement company enters into an exclusive distribution partnership with DFI Retail Group – the parent company of Guardian. <\/p>\n

GNC\u2019s products, including vitamins, minerals and sport nutrition, will be available in Guardian\u2019s online and offline stores and in GNC\u2019s standalone stores as soon as Q4. <\/p>\n

Singapore\u2019s Unity pharmacy is partnering with homegrown microbiome supplement firm AMILI in an exclusive metabolic health synbiotic supplement retail launch. <\/p>\n

A key feature of the product, AMILI Metabolic Health, is that it was formulated based on Asian gut microbiome data – specifically from Singapore\u2019s National University Hospital (NUH) and AMILI\u2019s multi-ethnic Asian Microbiome Library, said Dr Jeremy Lim, co-founder and CEO at AMILI. <\/p>\n

Emphasizing the Asian-specificity of the formulation, Pauline Png, general manager at Unity, FairPrice Group, said that the synbiotic was the first-of-its-kind available across the chain. <\/p>\n

New Zealand dairy nutrition firm The a2 Milk Company\u2019s recently released research results are set to drive growth in the US market and shape its innovation pipeline.<\/p>\n

The findings, presented at NUTRITION 2026, indicated that A1-protein-free formula supported appropriate growth and safety within FDA guidelines. <\/p>\n

According to Bethany Opfer, senior manager of medical marketing, the findings serve two purposes, including product registration in the US and informing future research. <\/p>\n

Kirin Holdings Company is challenging itself to hit the next level of growth as its health science business turns profitable for the first time in FY2025, said President and COO Takeshi Minakata, on the decision to acquire Canada-based Jamieson Wellness Inc. <\/p>\n

\u201cLast year, we were fortunate that the health science business became profitable, and we are now at the stage to challenge the next level of growth,\u201d he said during a press conference on August 7. <\/p>\n

In FY25, normalized operating profit of Kirin\u2019s health science business turned from a deficit of JPY10.9bn (US$69.2m) to a profit of JPY11.1bn (US$70.5m).<\/p>\n
