Alvotech<\/a> has a licensing and commercialization agreement with Lotus Pharmaceutical<\/a>, covering two Alvotech biosimilars in the United States and Asia. The partnership applies to eight Asian markets: South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Malaysia.<\/p>\n Biosimilars Treat Areas of Need<\/p>\n The biosimilars are AVT34, referencing AstraZeneca<\/a>\u2019s Imfinzi (durvalumab), and AVT87, referencing Genentech<\/a>\u2019s Hemlibra (emicizumab). Imfinzi is used in the treatment of multiple cancers, while Hemlibra prevents or reduces bleeding episodes in patients with hemophilia.<\/p>\n In the U.S., Alvotech retains rights to commercialize both AVT34 and AVT87 alongside Lotus. Lotus will commercialize the products through Alvogen, its U.S.-based, wholly-owned subsidiary.
