Ian Wright said Arsenal\u2019s handling of Gabriel Martinelli\u2019s potential exit from the club has left him feeling \u201cuncomfortable\u201d and claimed the forward deserves \u201cmore respect\u201d.<\/p>\n

Martinelli, who has played nearly 300 times across seven seasons for the Gunners, was left out of Arsenal\u2019s squad for their opening-night win over Coventry at the Emirates Stadium.<\/p>\n

Arsenal are exploring selling Martinelli, who has one year remaining on his contract, but Wright believes the Brazil international, also omitted from Arsenal\u2019s Community Shield victory against Manchester City last Sunday, is being left in the dark over his future.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe way Martinelli is being treated at the moment, it really makes me feel uncomfortable,\u201d said former Arsenal striker Wright following the Gunners\u2019 3-0 victory on Friday.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe way he\u2019s been treated at the end here, I know they might want him out, and a lot of people might say, \u2018Yeah, it\u2019s time for him to move him on\u2019. But there\u2019s ways of doing that and it should suit him as well, how he wants to leave.<\/p>\n
