This is per WSDOT.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Update (8\/22\/26 @ 10:35 p.m.)<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Evacuations have been downgraded to Level 2 (BE SET) in Yakima County for the areas\u00a0south of WA-22, west of Glade Rd to the Klickitat County line. You still have to be packed and ready to leave at a moment&#8217;s notice!<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Update (8\/22\/26 @ 10:05 p.m.)<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The Prosser Police Department is asking folks to stay off of WA-22 between Market St and Byron St so folks can evacuate, and so first responders can do their jobs.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Update (8\/22\/26 @ 9:15 p.m.)<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">A Red Cross Shelter will be setup at Prosser High School (1500 Paterson Road, Prosser, WA 99350)<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Update (8\/22\/26 @ 9:00 p.m.)<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">There are new Level 3 (GO NOW!) evacuations for west-central Benton County, south of Prosser. This includes the following areas:<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">east of the Yakima\/Benton county line, south of WA-22, south and west of WA-221, and north of Sellards Road<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">LEAVE NOW! There&#8217;s an immediate threat to life and property.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Update (8\/22\/26 @ 8:15 p.m.)<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">There are new Level 3 (GO NOW!) Evacuations in Yakima County due to the Colwash Fire for the following areas:<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">WA-22 from Glade Rd to county line to include Byron Hill Rd<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">LEAVE NOW! Life and property are in immediate danger. This info is per the Yakima Valley Emergency Management.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Update (8\/22\/26 @ 7:40 p.m.)<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Level 2 (BE SET) evacuations have pushed into western Benton County from the quickly growing Colwash Fire, south of Prosser. This is for:<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">areas east of the County Line, south of WA-22, south and west of WA-221, and north of Sellards Road<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Be packed and ready to leave ASAP! This info is per Benton County Emergency Services.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Update (8\/22\/26 @ 6:30 p.m.)<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The Colwash Fire is now pushing east into Benton County. Law enforcement is requesting to shut down Sellards Road from Bert James Road to the county line. This is per dispatch traffic.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Update (8\/22\/26 @ 5:30 p.m.)<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The Colwash Fire is now 4,000 acres, per the National Interagency Fire Center.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Update (8\/22\/26 @ 4:00 p.m.)<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The following evacuations have been requested for the Colwash Fire, per dispatch traffic in Yakima County:<\/p>\n<p>Level 3 (GO NOW) Evacuations &#8211;\u00a0south of WA-22, west of Glade Rd to the county lineLevel 2 (BE SET) Evacuations &#8211;\u00a0\u00a0north side of WA-22 in Mabton areaLevel 1 (BE READY) Evacuations &#8211; East of Glade Rd<\/p>\n<p>We should have an official map once we get the update directly from Yakima Valley Emergency Management.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Original Story (8\/22\/26 @ 1:15 p.m.)<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">TOPPENISH, Wash. \u2013 Around 8:40 a.m. on Saturday morning, resources arrived on scene to a vegetation fire about 2 miles northeast of BIA Rd 15 and BIA Rd 196, technically a Toppenish address. Although the initial estimated acreage was 25-30 acres (per radio traffic), the latest official update from the National Interagency Fire Center has it at 700 acres.
