On Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band\u2019s Stranger In Town album is \u201cHollywood Nights<\/a>\u201d. The song was written solely by Seger.<\/p>\n

\u201cHollywood Nights\u201d says, \u201cAnd those Hollywood nights \/ In those Hollywood hills \/ She was looking so right \/ In her diamonds and frills.\u201d<\/p>\n

The idea for \u201cHollywood Nights\u201d came to Seger while he was driving.<\/p>\n

\u201cI had a house out in the Hollywood Hills,\u201d Seger recalls<\/a>. \u201cI could see the city from my house. I\u2019d be driving up there in the Hollywood Hills, just driving along, and then suddenly, \u2018Hollywood nights, Hollywood Hills, above all the lights, Hollywood nights.\u2019 It just came right into my head. So I turned right around and drove home, and I\u2019m singing this in my head thinking, \u2018Don\u2019t forget it, don\u2019t forget it! Don\u2019t turn on the radio!\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYou Really Got Me\u201d by Van Halen<\/p>\n

\u201cYou Really Got Me<\/a>\u201d is Van Halen\u2019s very first single. It also happens to be a cover song. On their eponymous debut album, it\u2019s The Kinks who first released \u201cYou Really Got Me\u201d in 1964.\u00a0About 14 years later, Van Halen introduced themselves to the world by putting their own spin on the feel-good song.<\/p>\n

The fun tune begins with, \u201cGirl, you really got me now \/ You got me so I don\u2019t know what I\u2019m doin\u2019 \/ Girl, you really got me now \/ You got me so I can\u2019t sleep at night.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYou Really Got Me\u201d became a Top 40 hit and the only successful single from Van Halen. It wasn\u2019t until their sophomore Van Halen II record that the band had their first Top 15 hit, with \u201cDance The Night Away\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cDon\u2019t Look Back\u201d by Boston<\/p>\n

\u201cDon\u2019t Look Back\u201d is Boston\u2019s fourth single and second Top 5 hit. The song is the first single and title track from Boston\u2019s sophomore album. \u201cDon\u2019t Look Back\u201d was written by band member Tom Scholz.<\/p>\n

The empowering anthem says, \u201cDon\u2019t look back (ooh, a new day is breakin\u2019) \/ It\u2019s been too long since I felt this way \/ I don\u2019t mind (ooh, where I get taken) \/ The road is callin\u2019, today is the day.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cDon\u2019t Look Back\u201d is the only big hit from the project. In 1986, Boston had their first No. 1 single, with \u201cAmanda\u201d.\u00a0<\/p>\n
