With the surprise trade request of Dylan Larkin early in the offseason, Detroit hasn\u2019t seemed to heard much from its players since the end of the season and exit interviews were conducted. However, it seems that with just a little under a month before preseason begins, people are starting to come out of the woodworks.<\/p>\n
Top defenseman Mo Seider spoke with German media in the last week, expressing his frustration with the team\u2019s lack of success and a desire to further improve and grow with the team. Those words seem a lot like those of the next leader of the team, and the Red Wings social media team certainly seemed to agree, releasing a series of photos of the big blueliner. <\/p>\n
Notably, however, Seider declined to directly respond or talkabout the trade request from Larkin, and team media have omitted Larkin several times over the summer, including recently with EA\u2019s NHL The Show \u201927\u2019s player ratings release. Whether or not that bridge will be mended or common ground found seems more and more unlikely as the team approaches the season with Larkin still on the roster.<\/p>\n
In the PWHL, things are going about as well as the Red Wings offseason, as it was revealed yesterday that the replica Walter Cup meant to be kept by the Montreal VIctoires after winning the league last year has gone missing. <\/p>\n
Last seen over a week ago, the Walter Cup as meant to arrive in Lethbridge, Alberta before news broke of its namesake, PWHL owner Mark Walter coming under federal investigation for investments made by his insurance companies. The Cup is made of about 35 pounds of sterling silver, with a raw metal value over $50k.<\/p>\n
