\n\tEXCLUSIVE:\u00a0For the first time in a decade, Michael Ian Black<\/a> is back with a new comedy special. Titled\u00a0First Annual Retirement Special, it\u2019ll be released across platforms by Comedy Dynamics<\/a> on Tuesday, August 25th.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn\u00a0his First Annual Retirement Special, Black reflects on his 27 years of experience as a married man and the difficult choices that come with it, like choosing between intimacy or watching\u00a0Better Call Saul, caring for each other through sickness and health, and discovering just how important accent pillows are to bringing a home together. He also takes on the increasingly unhinged world of snack and soda flavors, living abroad in Rome and London \u2014 where he learned that London theater may not be all it\u2019s cracked up to be \u2014 and recounts the time he hit it big at the poker table against a man named Dave in a tie-dye \u201cI Am Kenough\u201d shirt.<\/p>\n

\n\tA veteran comedian, filmmaker, and actor, Black\u2019s last special,\u00a0Noted Expert, premiered on Epix in 2016. Prior to that, he put out the Comedy Central hour\u00a0Very Famous\u00a0and album\u00a0I Am a Wonderful Man. As an actor, he\u2019s known for roles in the\u00a0Wet Hot American Summer\u00a0franchise,\u00a0This Is 40,\u00a0Burning Love,\u00a0Reno 911!, TV Land\u2019s\u00a0The Jim Gaffigan Show\u00a0and Comedy Central\u2019s\u00a0Another Period. He also wrote and directed\u00a0Wedding Daze, starring Jason Biggs and Isla Fisher, and co-wrote\u00a0Run, Fatboy, Run, directed by David Schwimmer and starring Simon Pegg.<\/p>\n

\n\tA founding member of iconic comedy troupes The State and Stella, as well as an author and podcast host, Black told us, \u201cI\u2019m thrilled to be releasing this special with Comedy Dynamics. I worked very hard on it, but if it saves even one life, all that hard work will have been worth it.\u201d<\/p>\n
