(<a href=\"http:\/\/www.waff.com\" title=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">WAFF<\/a>) &#8211; Alabama men\u2019s basketball will take on Kennesaw State at the Von Braun Center\u2019s Propst Arena on December 21, city officials announced Thursday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The game will mark the first time Alabama has played a regular season game in Propst Arena since 2019. Last year, Alabama and Memphis squared off in a preseason game at the arena.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cCollege basketball has never been bigger in the state and we\u2019re excited to welcome Alabama and Kennesaw State back to Huntsville this year,\u201d Huntsville Mayor Tommy Battle said. \u201cThis event continues to grow each year and we look forward to celebrating all things Huntsville during the game.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Kennesaw State, one of the preseason favorites in Conference USA, is coached by former Tide star Antoine Pettway.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Alabama is coming off a 28-9 season that included a trip to the Elite 8.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cWe are excited to return to Huntsville and face an exceptional program in Kennesaw State, led by Antoine Pettway who is synonymous with Alabama basketball,\u201d said Alabama head coach Nate Oats. \u201cThe Rocket City Classic provides an amazing atmosphere and we are looking forward to playing in front of Tide fans at the Von Braun Center.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Tickets go on sale on August 19 at 10 a.m.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/@waff48news\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/@waff48news\">Click Here to Subscribe on YouTube:<\/a> Watch the latest WAFF 48 news, sports &amp; weather videos on our YouTube channel!<\/p>\n<p class=\"copyright |\">Copyright 2025 WAFF.
