\n\tStarz<\/a>\u2018s upcoming Black rodeo drama series has rounded out its series regular cast with the addition of Shannon Wallace\u00a0(Diarra From Detroit, Beauty in Black),\u00a0Curtiss Cook\u00a0(The Chi, House of Cards),\u00a0Lauren E. Banks\u00a0(Lawmen: Bass Reeves, City on a Hill),\u00a0Liv Symone\u00a0(Power Book III: Raising Kanan,\u00a0Michael), and\u00a0Jason Dirden\u00a0(Bosch: Legacy, Power Book III: Raising Kanan).<\/p>\n

\n\tThey join the previously announced DeWanda Wise\u00a0as Anaya Clarke-Reagan,\u00a0Tian Richards\u00a0as Rodney Clarke, and\u00a0Marcus Mitchell as Julius Calhoun.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe as-yet-untitled series unfolds in Southeast Texas, where rodeo isn\u2019t just what you do \u2013 it\u2019s who you are, per the logline. At the center are three siblings bound by the legacy their mother built and the unfinished business their father left behind. Driven by their own ambitions and drawn into each other\u2019s orbit, alliances shift, relationships tangle, and nothing stays private for long. The network said the show is \u201cinfused with hip hop swagger and country soul\u201d.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe new actors and who they will play can be found below.<\/p>\n

\n\tWallace will play Sebastian Clarke,\u00a0a recently divorced former bull-riding champion whose career ended after an arena accident nearly took his life. Handsome, charismatic, and relentlessly ambitious, he transformed the family rodeo into one of East Texas\u2019 premier regional showcases. But what Sebastian builds with charm, he often undermines with impulse. A compulsive risk-taker in business, gambling, and love, he\u2019s determined to take the family legacy to the next level \u2013 if his self-destructive instincts don\u2019t destroy it first.<\/p>\n

\n\tCook will play Elias Clarke,\u00a0who is handsome, charming, and quietly persuasive. Elias is the Clarke siblings\u2019 estranged father and co-founder of the family rodeo with his late wife. Never one to draw much distinction between what was right and what was legal, his past choices landed him in prison and left an indelible stain on the family legacy. Recently released, Elias returns determined to earn back his children\u2019s trust; but, as he clashes with Sebastian over the future of the rodeo, it\u2019s unclear whether he has changed\u2026or if he\u2019s simply recalibrating.<\/p>\n

\n\tBanks will play Wynter, Sebastian\u2019s ex-wife and mother and coach to their son, Driver. After building her entire adult life around the Clarke family and the rodeo, newly-divorced Wynter is finally asking what she wants for herself.\u00a0 She\u2019s ready to loosen her grip, explore life outside the arena, and maybe even a few new men.<\/p>\n

\n\tSymone\u00a0will play Jojo Calhoun, who is the brazen and creative younger sister of Julius (Mitchell), a local bull riding star and talented barrel racer. While the boys focus on their rodeo careers, Jojo feels ostracized by the more traditional women riders and cowgirls. Good thing she\u2019s an even better rapper than rider \u2013 and she\u2019s determined to be the biggest artist to ever come out of Trinity City.<\/p>\n

\n\tDirden will play Greg Reagan, a respected District Court judge and Anaya\u2019s (Wise) husband. Greg is supportive, charming, and easygoing. But beneath the polish is real steel, along with a past he keeps carefully buried. Fiercely protective of his wife, Greg is not afraid to get his hands dirty when Anaya, or the life they\u2019ve built together, is threatened.<\/p>\n

\n\tKirk A. Moore is showrunner and executive producer. Mark Johnson\u00a0and Myki Bajaj of Gran Via Productions, and Tony Hernandez, Elise Henderson and Lilly Burns of Counterpart Studios also serve as executive producers.\u00a0Giovanna Desselle, VP of Original Programming, and Christina Jokanovich, SVP of Original Programming, are the executives overseeing the series for Starz.<\/p>\n
