Tim Curry, ‘Rocky Horror’ star, dies at 80, per reports<\/p>\n

Tim Curry, an iconic British actor whose career spanned film, television and theater, has died, according to numerous reports. <\/a><\/p>\n

He was 80 years old. <\/p>\n

Curry, best known for playing Dr. Frank-N-Furter in the 1975 cult film “The Rocky Horror Picture Show,” had dealt with health issues for years, including a major stroke in 2012.<\/p>\n

Curry died at his home in Los Angeles, according to his longtime manager and friend Marcia Hurwitz. A cause of death has not been released.<\/p>\n

His other notable roles include Pennywise in the 1990 television adaptation of Stephen King\u2019s \u201cIt,\u201d as well as appearances in \u201cClue,\u201d \u201cLegend,\u201d \u201cMuppet Treasure Island\u201d and \u201cHome Alone 2: Lost in New York.\u201d <\/p>\n

Curry also has performed extensively onstage, including in productions of \u201cAmadeus,\u201d \u201cThe Threepenny Opera\u201d and \u201cSpamalot.\u201d <\/p>\n
