Now, it seems critics agree, giving the returning comedy series a 100% on Rotten Tomatoes with more than a dozen reviews in.

FX’s Adults on the surface may look like a generic comedy with a bunch of zany, Gen Z early-20-somethings hanging out in a house. It’s that, but it’s also extremely funny, even to me, a Millennial one generation ahead.

Season 2 of Adults comes more than a year after season 1, back in May 2025, not that far back. We call that a win in the streaming era. FX/Hulu dropped all episodes of Adults season 2 today, and you can binge it now. I might spread them out a little, however, to prolong how great this season is.

That 100% Rotten Tomatoes review score comes with a 97% audience score. It’s a big increase from the 76% critic score and 83% audience score for season 1. And I would say it’s deserved, having seen the entire season already.

Adults has done one interesting, unusual thing in the run-up to season 2. The producers replaced the pilot episode of the whole series. They made a new episode called Marathon Day where the group meets housemate Paul Baker for the first time. But it’s not just a prequel; it’s now listed as season 1 episode 1, shoving back the original pilot, The Window, to episode 2. Even among Adults fans, it’s often agreed upon that The Window put a bad foot forward.

Adults shines in creating memorable characters, with no poor performances in the bunch. It is difficult to make a relatively low-concept series like this work these days — friends hanging out — but Adults, including season 2, has made me laugh out loud more times than I can count, even if I’ve moved on from that more chaotic phase of my life. In this season, the characters also have to deal with Gen Alphas, who make them feel old even though they haven’t hit 25. And I can promise you this season has the best Paul Baker content you will ever see across multiple episodes, including the finale.

It’s a great series and one that should run indefinitely, if given the chance. FX has been the home of fantastic comedies over the years, and Adults absolutely deserves a place on that list.

Follow me on Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram.

Pick up my sci-fi novels the Herokiller series and The Earthborn Trilogy.

FX’s ADULTS — “The Scrub” — Season 2, Episode 1 — Pictured (L-R): Owen Thiele as Anton, Lucy…

[33
15108,88,10028,17108,92
post-829049","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-entertainment","tag-adults","tag-entertainment","tag-hulu","tag-rotten-tomatoes","tag-tv
["GET
