Fear Factory\u2018s new single \u201cRoboticist\u201d has officially premiered online. This track\u2019s online debut coincides with a big sci-fi movie moment, going live exactly at 2:14am EST on August 29th. In the fictional \u2018Terminator\u2018 film universe \u2014a franchise which has heavily inspired by the industrial metal band over the years \u2014 that date and time in the year 1997 marked the time that Skynet became self-aware, leading to the catastrophic events that played out in the films.<\/p>\n

Fear Factory have had this song in their pocket for sometime now, having previously streamed an early instrumental take of it<\/a> back in April of 2023. The stakes are of course higher for this song now, as it finds the band officially moving forward with their first studio output since the bitter departure of former vocalist Burton C. Bell. His replacement Milo Silvestro was recruited back in 2023, with the band having toured the world over with him since.<\/p>\n

A music video for this fully fleshed out version of \u201cRoboticist\u201d was filmed with director Vicente Cordero (Cradle Of Filth, Hollywood Undead), while the song was produced, engineered, mixed and mastered by Damien Rainaud. Fear Factory\u2018s sole remaining \u2018classic era\u2019 member guitarist Dino Cazares commented:<\/p>\n

\u201cThe future isn\u2019t coming. It\u2019s already here, \u2018Roboticist\u2019 is the next evolution of Fear Factory. Man, Machine and the war for what comes next. I can\u2019t wait for everyone to hear the beginning of a new era of Fear Factory.\u201d<\/p>\n

Word on the release plans for the band\u2019s forthcoming eleventh studio album that is set to follow this track remain under wraps for now. However, there\u2019s no current shortage of touring booked to promote this single and that effort. The band\u2019s current plans include:<\/p>\n
