{"id":830843,"date":"2026-08-30T12:34:21","date_gmt":"2026-08-30T12:34:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/830843\/"},"modified":"2026-08-30T12:34:21","modified_gmt":"2026-08-30T12:34:21","slug":"toby-collyer-west-bromwich-albion-sign-midfielder-from-manchester-united","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/830843\/","title":{"rendered":"Toby Collyer: West Bromwich Albion sign midfielder from Manchester United"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">West Bromwich Albion have signed midfielder Toby Collyer from Manchester United for an undisclosed fee.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The 22-year-old, who has signed a four-year contract, spent the first half of last season at The Hawthorns, making 12 Championship appearances before moving to Hull City and helping them win promotion to the Premier League.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">He is Albion&#8217;s ninth summer signing so far, following new arrivals including Jimmy-Jay Morgan and Conor Townsend at the club.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Collyer made 13 appearances for Manchester United in all competitions during the 2024-25 season.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">He made his competitive debut in their <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bbc.com\/sport\/football\/live\/cx2npz4yx3gt#Report\" class=\"ssrcss-18834jl-InlineLink e1kn3p7n0\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">3-0 home defeat by Liverpool<\/a> in September 2024.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;There were a few reasons why I was so keen to return,&#8221; Collyer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wba.co.uk\/news\/toby-collyer-returns-albion-permanent-deal\" class=\"ssrcss-18834jl-InlineLink e1kn3p7n0\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">told Albion&#8217;s website., external<\/a> <\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;The size of the club is one of them.
