\n\tElla Langley<\/a>\u2019s \u201cChoosin\u2019 Texas\u201d achieves a landmark 20th week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100<\/a> \u2014 claiming the sole longest run ever atop the chart for a non-holiday song. The smash first led<\/a> in February, has already set multiple chart records<\/a> and is just the second title in the Hot 100\u2019s 68-year history to lead for at least 20 weeks.<\/p>\n

\n\tHere\u2019s an updated look at the longest-leading hits, ranked by most weeks<\/a> at No. 1 ever on the Hot 100:<\/p>\n

22 weeks, \u201cAll I Want for Christmas Is You,\u201d Mariah Carey, 2019-26<\/p>\n

20, \u201cChoosin\u2019 Texas,\u201d Ella Langley, 2026<\/p>\n

\n\tThe only song in the way of the run of \u201cChoosin\u2019 Texas\u201d historically, Mariah Carey\u2019s \u201cAll I Want for Christmas Is You\u201d has ruled<\/a> the Hot 100 each Yuletide season since the 1994 carol was first No. 1 in 2019, and could add<\/a> to its total in the holidays ahead.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWe loved the song when we wrote it, but none of us thought that it would be the song to do everything it\u2019s doing,\u201d Langley told Billboard<\/a> earlier this year of \u201cChoosin\u2019 Texas,\u201d which she cowrote with Luke Dick, Miranda Lambert and Joybeth Taylor. \u201cIt keeps giving us a reason to celebrate new \u00admilestones.\u201d<\/p>\n

\t\u2018Choosin\u2019 Texas\u2019 Streams, Airplay & Sales<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cChoosin\u2019 Texas,\u201d on SAWGOD\/Columbia Records, with Triple Tigers having promoted it to country radio, totaled 24.2 million official streams (essentially even week over week), 56.8 million radio airplay audience impressions (up 2%) and 7,000 sold (down 9%) in the United States Aug. 21-27.<\/p>\n

\n\tLangley\u2019s first Hot 100 leader holds for a 20th week at No. 1 on Streaming Songs<\/a>; keeps at No. 5, after reaching No. 4, on Radio Songs<\/a>; and drops six spots to No. 7 after 16 weeks atop Digital Song Sales<\/a>. It\u2019s just the third song to rule Streaming Songs for at least 20 weeks, joining Carey\u2019s \u201cAll I Want for Christmas Is You\u201d (26) and Lil Nas X\u2019s \u201cOld Town Road\u201d (20).<\/p>\n

\n\tMeanwhile, after topping the Country Airplay chart for three weeks in February-March, \u201cChoosin\u2019 Texas\u201d continues crossing over at radio, hitting new highs of No. 4 on Adult Pop Airplay and No. 7 on Pop Airplay.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cChoosin\u2019 Texas\u201d also tops the multimetric Hot Country Songs<\/a> chart for a 38th week and the Songs of the Summer<\/a> chart for a 13th week.<\/p>\n

\tCountry Controls Top 4 Again<\/p>\n

\n\tStella Lefty\u2019s \u201cBoston\u201d repeats at its No. 2 Hot 100 best, Taylor Swift\u2019s \u201cI Knew It, I Knew You\u201d is stationary at No. 3, after it spent its first two weeks on the chart at No. 1 in June, and Morgan Wallen\u2019s \u201cBeen by Now\u201d holds at No. 4, after it debuted at its No. 2 high.<\/p>\n

\n\tCountry boasts another especially triumphant week, a month after the genre monopolized the entire top five<\/a> on the Hot 100 for the first time. Of the 13 weeks all-time with country songs at either Nos. 1-3, 1-4 or 1-5, all have occurred since August 2023, powered, in part, by country\u2019s growth in streaming, among other factors<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI Knew It, I Knew You\u201d concurrently leads Radio Songs for a second week (66.6 million, up 3%).<\/p>\n

\tRest of Top 10: Grande & More<\/p>\n

\n\tAriana Grande\u2019s \u201cHate That I Made You Love Me\u201d is a non-mover at No. 5 on the Hot 100, after it led in its debut week in June.<\/p>\n

\n\tTame Impala and JENNIE\u2019s \u201cDracula\u201d rises 8-6 after reaching No. 5 on the Hot 100. It tops the multimetric Hot Dance\/Electronic Songs<\/a> chart for a 34th week and Hot Rock & Alternative Songs<\/a> for a 16th week.<\/p>\n

\n\tOlivia Dean\u2019s \u201cSo Easy (To Fall in Love)\u201d keeps at No. 7 on the Hot 100, after reaching No. 5, with her \u201cMan I Need\u201d likewise holding in place at No. 9, after peaking at No. 2.<\/p>\n

\n\tWallen and Langley\u2019s \u201cI Can\u2019t Love You Anymore\u201d slides 6-8 on the Hot 100 after hitting No. 4.<\/p>\n
