Joe Manchin has announced a tour this fall to promote his book <a href=\"https:\/\/wchstv.com\/news\/local\/former-sen-joe-manchin-is-working-on-a-memoir-dead-center-scheduled-for-september?fbclid=IwY2xjawMLN85leHRuA2FlbQIxMQBicmlkETE2SXJITTY5cUt6SEk3bWU3AR65HhorpF9ggtzprEuYEspkP_XWEgOoRMrO-1eM9ce0cYhgv0bZdNTlYK-tQw_aem_7cNdPsTJuxjlmOwqmCthEA\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"https:\/\/wchstv.com\/news\/local\/former-sen-joe-manchin-is-working-on-a-memoir-dead-center-scheduled-for-september?fbclid=IwY2xjawMLN85leHRuA2FlbQIxMQBicmlkETE2SXJITTY5cUt6SEk3bWU3AR65HhorpF9ggtzprEuYEspkP_XWEgOoRMrO-1eM9ce0cYhgv0bZdNTlYK-tQw_aem_7cNdPsTJuxjlmOwqmCthEA\" class=\"themeColorForLinks\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">\u201cDead Center: In Defense of Common Sense.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Macmillan Publishers describe the work as a memoir written by \u201ca true Maverick of American politics.\u201d The book contains a forward legendary college football coach and fellow West Virginia native Nick Saban.<\/p>\n<p>Manchin made an announcement on social media, stating the book pulls back the curtain on his political decision-making process.<\/p>\n<p>The following tour dates and moderators have been announced:<\/p>\n<p>Sept. 12 \u2013 Morgantown, W.Va. with Hoppy KerchevalSept. 15 \u2013 New York, N.Y. with Gayle KingSept. 17 \u2013 Nashville, Tenn. with Brad PaisleySept. 21 \u2013 Washington, D.C. with David RubensteinSept. 22 \u2013 Naperville, Ill. with David AxelrodSept. 22 \u2013 Virtual event with the Commonwealth Club World Affairs of California<\/p>\n<p>Manchin\u2019s political career spanned more than four decades and included time as West Virginia\u2019s governor along with 15 years in the U.S. Senate.<\/p>\n<p>In 2024, <a href=\"https:\/\/wchstv.com\/news\/local\/us-senator-joe-manchin-leaves-democratic-party-registers-as-independent\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"https:\/\/wchstv.com\/news\/local\/us-senator-joe-manchin-leaves-democratic-party-registers-as-independent\" class=\"themeColorForLinks\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Manchin left the Democratic Party<\/a> and identified as an independent before announcing <a href=\"https:\/\/wchstv.com\/news\/local\/manchin-announces-he-will-not-seek-reelection-to-us-senate\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"https:\/\/wchstv.com\/news\/local\/manchin-announces-he-will-not-seek-reelection-to-us-senate\" class=\"themeColorForLinks\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">he wouldn\u2019t seek re-election<\/a>.
